Guadalupe Miranda family papers : photocopies, 1808-1901.

Summary: Collection consists of photocopies of various documents and letters concerning Guadalupe Miranda and other members of the Miranda family. Includes Guadalupe Miranda's 1839 appointment by Governor Manuel Armijo as Government Secretary of New Mexico, his 1841 commission from Mexican President Santa Anna as Militia Captain in New Mexico, and his 1843 appointment as acting Governor of New Mexico by acting Governor Juan Andres Archuleta while Archuleta led an expedition against Texas. Collection also includes land conveyances in southern New Mexico and Texas, documents concerning acequias in San Ignacio, New Mexico, and an 1868 quitclaim deed from Guadalupe Miranda to Lucien B. Maxwell pertaining to Miranda's interest in the Beubien-Miranda land grant.
